New Lego Set Features Link and Epona from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Lego and Nintendo are celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda with an exciting new set that coincides with the return of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In 2027, fans can look forward to a Lego set featuring Link and his loyal horse, Epona, immortalized in brick form.
In this set, adult Link is depicted riding Epona, brandishing the Master Sword and the Hylian Shield. Epona strikes a dynamic pose reminiscent of Jacques-Louis David’s iconic painting, Napoleon Crossing the Alps. Details about the Link & Epona set, including pricing and piece count, are still under wraps, but the initial images suggest that both characters will have posable leg joints.
The collaboration between Nintendo and Lego has been thriving lately. Earlier this year, they launched Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle, a 1,003-piece set showcasing Link and Zelda in an epic showdown against Ganon, mirroring the legendary boss fight from Ocarina of Time. That set was priced at $129.99. Prior to that, they released the even more expensive Deku Tree set, a massive 2,500-piece build that retailed for around $300 and has since sold out. Given its smaller scale, it’s reasonable to expect that the Link & Epona set will be more affordable than its predecessors.
In addition to the Lego set, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also receiving a remake. Nintendo unveiled the first significant gameplay footage during the recent Zelda Anniversary Direct. This new version boasts a more realistic yet still stylized aesthetic, along with numerous gameplay enhancements. Toward the end of the trailer, child Link plays Epona’s Song on his Ocarina to summon his faithful steed.
The Ocarina of Time remake is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. The Lego The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Link & Epona set will consist of 1,750 pieces and is set to launch in spring 2027.
