The Boys Creator’s Upcoming Film Set to Deliver Unforgettable Horror
If you thought Garth Ennis, the mastermind behind The Boys, was finished with his signature blend of bloodshed and chaos, think again. Ennis has teamed up with director Rob Jabbaz, known for The Sadness, to adapt one of the most twisted comic stories ever, Crossed, for the big screen.
A new teaser trailer has just dropped on YouTube, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
As comic enthusiasts, we know that some stories are unlikely to make the leap to film, either because they thrive in their comic format or tackle heavy themes. That’s why it’s shocking to see something as dark as Crossed getting an adaptation.
Produced by Six Studios in Los Angeles, Crossed follows a group of survivors trying to escape the infected, known as the Crossed. Unlike typical zombies, the Crossed are driven by a mysterious disease that marks them with a red cross on their foreheads, unleashing their darkest desires. Imagine intrusive thoughts made flesh—these beings indulge in horrific acts like rape and murder, driven by their insatiable urges.
Ennis, who penned the screenplay based on the original 10-issue run of Crossed, collaborates with Jabbaz and a talented cast. Devin Druid and Ash Santos star as Stan and Cindy, leading this motley crew of survivors. The cast also features Bob Morley as Randall, Steven Hack as Geoff, Ethan Jones Romero as Thomas, Chido Nwokocha as Kitrick, Spenser Granese as Brett, Kyla Hee as Kelly, and Ana Mulvoy Ten as Sheena. Lorenzo Ross makes his acting debut as Patrick.
Throughout their harrowing journey, the group will face off against the leader of the infected: a depraved villain known as Horsecock, portrayed by Owen Harn. The name might raise eyebrows, but the reality behind it is even more disturbing than you can imagine.
Currently, there’s no official release date, just a promise that it’s “coming soon.” For fans eager for more gruesome thrills from the creator of The Boys, Crossed—and the brutal spectacle it promises—can’t arrive soon enough.
