Apple reveals unexpected ‘Welcome Home’ launch event.

Apple has announced an upcoming event set for October 13th at 9 AM ET in New York. Speculation suggests that the focus will be on smart home products, as indicated by the event’s tagline, “Welcome home.”

During this event, Apple is expected to unveil several new offerings, including a smart home hub featuring a display, an upgraded HomePod Mini, and a new Apple TV. Additionally, there are reports of a collaboration with LG to introduce new smart home devices, such as a video doorbell, thermostat, and indoor camera. Recent leaks have even showcased renders of some of these devices.

Apple has been developing a new smart home hub for a while, initially aiming for a 2025 launch. However, delays related to the upgraded, AI-powered Siri have pushed this timeline back. With Siri AI having launched last month in beta, it seems that Apple is gearing up for a significant push into the smart home market.
