Fitbit Edge Set to Debut Next Week, Teases Google

It seems Google is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Fitbit Edge next Monday. A recent post on X showcased what looks like the side profile of the fitness tracker, accompanied by the intriguing caption: “Get an Edge on your health. 10.12.26.”

In the lead-up to the reveal, a wealth of leaks about the Fitbit Edge has emerged. Insights from various sources indicate that this new device might sport a 1.34-inch always-on OLED touchscreen, integrated GPS, and a suite of sensors, including an accelerometer, barometer, altimeter, and gyroscope. Additionally, it could feature optical sensors for heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring, along with electrical sensors for ECG readings.

Reports suggest that the tracker may also alert users to potential atrial fibrillation and irregular heart rhythms. The Fitbit Edge is expected to be powered by a replaceable lithium-ion battery, offering up to seven days of usage on a single charge. Speculation points to a launch price of around $180 in the US when it debuts next week.
