Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls to Introduce Jane Foster’s Thor and Other Iconic Heroes in 2024

Arc System Works and Sony Interactive Entertainment have revealed the remaining Year 1 DLC characters for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls at EVO France. Following Phoenix Cyclops, the next addition is a surprising choice: Jane Foster’s Thor instead of the more traditional Thor Odinson.

The trailer that introduced Jane Foster’s Thor also laid out the complete Year 1 DLC lineup. Phoenix Cyclops will kick things off on November 2. In 2027, players can look forward to Jane Foster’s Thor in the Winter, Venom in the Spring, and X-Men’s Jubilee in the Summer. This lineup features a diverse array of characters from across the Marvel universe.

While gameplay footage of Jane Foster’s Thor wasn’t showcased, the trailer does depict her facing off against Loki in the Asgard stage of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. This isn’t Jane Foster’s first time as a playable character; she was included as one of the final post-launch additions in Marvel’s Avengers back in 2022.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has shown a knack for surprising roster choices, opting for Shuri’s Black Panther over T’Challa and featuring the Phoenix Force-infused Cyclops instead of the standard version. Venom is a more familiar choice, and he’ll be joining the game alongside a new Klyntar stage.

As a fan of X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men ’97, I’m particularly excited about Jubilee’s inclusion. She’s already a blast to play in Marvel Rivals, and I can’t wait to see how Arc System Works brings her vibrant powers to life in this stunning fighting game.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is available on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. To access these DLC characters, players will need to purchase the $84.99 Digital Deluxe Edition or the base game along with the $34.99 Year 1 Character and Stage Pass.
