Season 4 of Netflix’s One Piece might arrive sooner than anticipated.

Netflix hasn’t officially announced a fourth season for its hit live-action adaptation of One Piece, but recent hints suggest that fans might not have to wait too long to see the Straw Hats return. New details from the Writers Guild of America (WGA) website indicate that season 4 could be on the horizon as early as 2027.

The live-action One Piece series premiered in 2023 and quickly became one of the platform’s most popular shows. Despite the skepticism surrounding adaptations of beloved manga and anime, One Piece has proven that Luffy and his crew’s adventures resonate across different formats. Following the release of season 2 in March 2026, a third season is set to drop in 2027, and it seems Netflix is committed to keeping the momentum going.

In September 2026, a message from the organizer of The One Con, scheduled for November 2026 in Paris, hinted that the cast would reunite for filming a new season in December 2026. For reference, filming for season 3 wrapped up on June 30, 2026. Recent updates suggest that season 4 could premiere sometime between 2027 and 2028.

The WGA’s One Piece page now lists the staff for season 4 alongside a “2027-2028” release window. While this isn’t an official confirmation from Netflix, it aligns with previous leaks and fits the timeline established between seasons 2 and 3.

In season 2, the Straw Hats finally reached the Grand Line, known as “the world’s most dangerous sea,” where they encountered new foes and challenges, including the addition of their latest crew member, the lovable reindeer doctor Tony Tony Chopper. Throughout the season, they aided Vivi, the princess of Alabasta, in her quest to liberate her kingdom from the nefarious Baroque Works and its leader, Mr. Crocodile. Season 3 promises to escalate the stakes as Luffy and his crew fight for their new friend’s kingdom.

If season 3 covers the entire Alabasta Arc from the manga, season 4 could take the Straw Hats to Jaya, leading to one of their most thrilling adventures yet: an island in the sky. If these reports hold true, fans can look forward to this exciting new chapter in the Straw Hats’ journey hitting their screens soon.

Usopp’s in charge this time.
