Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake introduces exciting new feature: Hall of Fallen Foes
We’re just weeks away from diving back into Hyrule with the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This highly anticipated release revitalizes the beloved Nintendo 64 classic with improved controls, stunning visuals, and exciting new features like Zelda Notes and enhanced ocarina functionality.
An extended preview recently showcased the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake, revealing a cool new addition called the Hall of Fallen Foes. This museum-like feature will allow players to revisit the game’s bosses, dungeons, and non-player characters in a fresh way.
In a new overview video, players get a glimpse of the various bosses and characters they’ll encounter again. The Hall of Fallen Foes displays statues of defeated monsters, each accompanied by a placard that provides details about the creature. For the more formidable foes, like dungeon bosses, players can engage in rematches to refine their skills and aim for personal best times. King Dodongo is highlighted as one of the bosses players can challenge again in this new feature.
The previous Nintendo 3DS remake included a Boss Challenge mode, but this new glorified bestiary on the Switch 2 promises to enhance that experience, especially for collectors.
For those keen on avoiding spoilers—despite the game being nearly 28 years old—there are glimpses of iconic bosses like Gohma and Volvagia, along with other significant characters. However, if you’re curious about how the visuals of Ocarina of Time have evolved in this second remake, the nearly five-minute overview is definitely worth a watch.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.
This new version of a Zelda classic is sharp, streamlined, and plays better than ever.
