Xbox Unveils Innovative Nano Controller

As console hardware prices continue to rise, Xbox is stepping up with a budget-friendly option: the new Xbox Nano controller.

This compact controller was officially unveiled on Wednesday, providing a portable alternative to the standard Xbox wireless controller, which starts at $64.99, and the premium Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, priced at $149.99. At just $49.99, the Nano controller is aimed at “younger players, smaller hands, or anyone looking for a convenient way to game on the go.”

Measuring 5 inches wide and weighing only 3.5 ounces, the Xbox Nano Controller is both small and lightweight. In contrast, the standard Xbox Wireless and Elite controllers are 6 inches wide and weigh around 10 and 12 ounces, respectively. Despite its reduced size, the Nano Controller retains all 18 standard gameplay inputs, ensuring it delivers the full Xbox experience in a more compact form.

Equipped with a rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C, the Nano Controller is perfect for modern gamers. It also connects seamlessly to compatible PCs, mobile devices, and smart TVs through Bluetooth. Officially, it supports Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox on PC, Windows, Android, and iOS.

Currently, it is available in a single color: white.

The Xbox Nano Controller is set to launch on November 4 in select regions, with pre-orders already open. Each account can order up to five controllers to help prevent scalping. Gamers in the U.S. should keep an eye out for a holiday promotion involving select Samsung TVs, which will include a special Nano Controller and two months of Game Pass Ultimate.

This new controller announcement comes alongside a wave of updates from Xbox, including Xbox XP and Xbox Labs.

Resellers are already looking to capitalize on the limited availability.
