The Beekeeper 2 Unveils First Trailer Featuring an Action-Packed Statham

Jason Statham is back in action as the relentless super-assassin Adam Clay in The Beekeeper 2. The first trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the surprise hit revenge thriller reveals that Jeremy Irons’ character warns Clay that the Beekeepers have gone rogue, and he’s the only one who can put a stop to their chaos. Classic!

The trailer delivers everything Statham fans crave: intense fight scenes, sharp one-liners, and a plethora of bee-themed references. Plus, the talented Pom Klementieff makes her debut in the Beekeeper series, adding to the excitement.

Irons’ character informs Clay that the Beekeepers are after total government control and are willing to eliminate anyone who stands in their way. Unsurprisingly, Clay takes matters into his own hands, ready to serve up some serious Beekeeper justice. This time, he’s got a fitting ride: a 1969 Dodge Super Bee, “fully loaded with stinger,” which includes a minigun mounted on the passenger side.

The trailer reaches its peak when Statham shoves a flamethrower into a henchman’s mouth, delivering the chilling line, “Next time, don’t be so hotheaded.” All of this unfolds to the powerful backdrop of Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” Absolutely epic.

The Beekeeper was penned by Kurt Wimmer and directed by action maestro David Ayer, who previously collaborated with Statham on The Working Man. Wimmer is expected to retain credit, having worked on The Beekeeper 2 before the screenplay was handed over to Umair Aleem. Timo Tjahjanto, known for his gory style, has taken the director’s chair, while Ayer remains involved to keep tabs on the project.

After a sneak peek at The Beekeeper 2 at CinemaCon earlier this year, anticipation has soared. With Tjahjanto at the helm, fans are expecting the sequel to ramp up the intensity, which is impressive considering the first film already packed a punch with its shocking moments.

The trailer certainly delivers, leaving Statham enthusiasts eager for more. The Beekeeper 2 is set to hit theaters on January 15, 2027.

This is shaping up to be one of Statham’s most buzzworthy films yet (pun intended).
