Lenovo’s speedy and comfortable SteamOS handheld now available at a significant discount.

The Legion Go S with SteamOS stands out as a compelling alternative to the $789 Steam Deck OLED. It operates on the same software but features a design that includes two-stage triggers and a larger eight-inch IPS display (1080p at up to 120Hz, compared to the Deck OLED’s 800p at 90Hz). Additionally, it boasts double the RAM and storage, with 32GB and 1TB, respectively, along with a slightly more powerful Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor.

Currently priced at $999.99, thanks to a discount, it’s a strong contender for anyone in the market for a handheld device. While it may not match the power of the recently released $1,299.99 Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20, which comes equipped with the Z2 Extreme and an OLED screen, the Legion Go S still holds its own.

This model originally launched with Windows 11 and the Ryzen Z2 Go. Although the Z2 Go is a newer chip, it doesn’t outperform the Z1 Extreme found in the discounted version. With SteamOS and the enhanced internals, this configuration promises a superior gaming experience.
