GTA 6 is set to feature intricate details reminiscent of Red Dead’s iconic horse mechanics.
Fans have been buzzing for years about a cheeky detail in Red Dead Redemption 2 that Rockstar Games has never officially acknowledged. This silence, combined with some ambiguous video clips, led many gamers to question whether this detail was genuinely intended. Now, almost a decade later, Rockstar has confirmed the existence of RDR2’s “horse balls,” giving players a solid reason to believe that Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature similar intricate touches.
This revelation comes from a YouTube video by a well-known reporter who recently covered a significant GTA 6 story. The video compiles various notes that didn’t make it into the final piece, including a tale about how Rockstar spent years reworking GTA 6’s weapon wheel. At one point, they even scrapped the weapon wheel entirely. However, after numerous iterations, they ultimately returned to the original weapon wheel seen in the GTA 6 footage.
The most astonishing news, though, revolves around RDR2’s infamous horse balls. Nearly nine years ago, footage of the open-world western went viral when fans spotted a peculiar animation. It appeared that Arthur Morgan’s horse had testicles with their own physics, and some claimed that the stallion’s anatomy would actually change shape based on the weather.
Despite years of debate, Rockstar never addressed this controversial feature. According to the reporter, the feature is indeed real, but it wasn’t a planned aspect of Rockstar’s production schedule. Instead, the animations made it into the final game because someone took the initiative to work on it. It’s unclear whether this was the effort of an individual or a team, but the lengthy development period of RDR2, along with Rockstar’s financial backing, allowed developers to get creative with their additions.
“I think there are going to be a lot of details like that within this game,” the reporter speculated about GTA 6 while reflecting on RDR2’s horse balls.
While GTA 6 hasn’t been released yet, this speculation is already backed by substantial evidence. The open-world shooter is packed with minor details, such as mud physics and complex NPC dialogue systems, showcasing just how deep Rockstar is willing to dive into realism. Whatever went into creating those horse balls may very well receive an upgrade. Recent leaked footage featuring co-protagonist Jason Duvall in the nude had viewers noting that the character’s genitals also had their own physics. While it remains unclear if players will have full control over their anatomy, the game does include a nudist colony where such physics would fit right in.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on Nov. 19.
