GTA 6 Launch Trailer Is Here: Release Date, India Prices and What to Know Before November 19
Rockstar Games released the official Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026, and it confirmed once again that the game arrives on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The 90-second clip went live across Rockstar’s channels at 2:00 PM BST, which was 6:30 PM IST for Indian fans. It is being treated as the game’s final major trailer before launch, and Rockstar noted that it was captured entirely in-game on a standard PS5 rather than a PS5 Pro.
What the Launch Trailer Shows
The trailer puts protagonists Jason and Lucia front and centre, with sunlit highways, waterfront chases and nightlife across the Vice City-inspired world of Leonida. Rockstar paired the footage with new music from the electronic duo Justice, who composed the game’s original score. The featured track, titled Flower in a Hurricane, includes contributions from Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. A companion release, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, can be pre-saved on streaming services, with vinyl and CD pre-orders also available.
The launch trailer follows the 26-minute Extended Look that premiered on Netflix on August 27 and reached YouTube the same night, and it sits alongside the two earlier trailers from December 2023 and May 2025. The game has also been confirmed as eligible for The Game Awards 2026. It has had a long road to this point, moving from a fall 2025 target to May 26, 2026 and then to its current November 19 date after a second delay confirmed in November 2025.
India Pricing, Pre-Orders and Launch Details
For Indian players, pricing is the biggest talking point. Pre-orders opened worldwide on June 25, 2026, and Rockstar chose region-specific pricing for India rather than a straight dollar conversion. The Standard Edition costs ₹5,999 and the Ultimate Edition costs ₹7,499, compared with $80 for the standard edition in the United States. Both are available digitally on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, and select physical retailers are also taking orders.
Pre-order incentives apply to purchases made before November 20. Buyers receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders also include a free month of GTA+, Rockstar’s subscription service. Digital pre-orders can be pre-loaded from November 12, which should help players avoid launch-day download queues, particularly on slower home connections. A PC release date has still not been announced, so the game will launch on consoles only.
There were hardware tie-ins too. At the September State of Play, Sony revealed limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense wireless controllers, with pre-orders opening on September 10. Take-Two Interactive has also said that pre-orders for the Ultimate Edition have been surprisingly strong, a sign that dedicated fans are committing early.
One warning is worth sharing with readers. A scam involving fake GTA 6 beta invitations has circulated online, and Indian buyers should treat any unofficial beta offer or suspicious download link as fraudulent. Pre-orders should only be placed through official storefronts and authorised retailers.
With about five weeks to go, the Launch Trailer gives fans a last look at what to expect. The visual quality, soundtrack and tone all point to a game Rockstar is confident about, and the India pricing means Indian console owners can plan their purchase with clear numbers well in advance.
