Skyrim’s Major Update Now Live in Elder Scrolls Online

Skyrim is calling once again! The Elder Scrolls Online has officially kicked off Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim, inviting players back to the beloved region with a fresh wave of content, including previously paid DLC now available for free to anyone who owns the base game.

Now live on Mac, PlayStation, Windows PC, and Xbox, this new season of The Elder Scrolls Online will run until January 27, 2027. With its launch, the Greymoor Chapter and Wolfhunter DLC are integrated into the base game, allowing players to explore more of Tamriel without needing to buy the expansions separately.

Greymoor is the standout addition for Skyrim enthusiasts, offering the chance to traverse Western Skyrim, visit the city of Solitude, and delve into the underground realm of Blackreach. This chapter also introduces its own storyline, the Antiquities system, and the Kyne’s Aegis 12-player Trial. Additionally, the Markarth DLC, which wraps up the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, will be added to the base game on November 9.

Season Two also brings solo versions of two existing dungeons: Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices. Both dungeons feature Hircine-themed challenges, complete with difficulty options and new rewards for those who prefer to tackle them solo. The original four-player versions are still available through the free Wolfhunter addition.

There are plenty of other rewards to pursue as well. The new Tamriel Tome features free and premium reward tracks filled with collectibles, currencies, and items like the Maarselok Slayer Mammoth mount. The Gold Coast Bazaar has refreshed its lineup of returning rewards, and seasonal events include the Witches Festival, Whitestrake’s Mayhem, and the New Life Festival.

More content is on the way as the season unfolds, including Skyrim- and Nowhere Vault-themed Golden Pursuits campaigns. Update 52, set for January 19, will introduce quality-of-life enhancements such as increased furnishing limits for select homes, expanded Companion customization options, and a new minimap interface option.

For players eager to dive back into Skyrim while awaiting The Elder Scrolls 6, Echoes of Skyrim provides a perfect reason to revisit the province—or explore it for the first time—without any extra cost for Greymoor or Wolfhunter. The new season is live now and will continue through January.
