Blink Enhances Affordable Security Cameras with 4K Resolution
A new lineup of Blink security cameras is hitting the market, featuring the brand’s first 4K pan-tilt models and battery-powered spotlight options. These upgrades promise enhanced resolution and greater range for keeping an eye on your property, surpassing the capabilities of Blink’s existing Mini 2K, Mini 2K Plus, and Outdoor 2K Plus models, each tailored to meet various security needs.
Among the highlights is the $199.99 Blink Frontier XR Plus, a trail camera designed for larger properties that typically require multiple units or specialized gear. It boasts an impressive coverage of up to 7,000 feet with a clear line of sight, making it Blink’s most far-reaching camera yet. The $79.99 Blink Mini 4K Plus marks the brand’s entry into 4K resolution, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It comes equipped with Wi-Fi 6 support, two-way audio, and Smart Alerts that can detect people and vehicles.
The lineup also includes the $109.99 Spotlight Cam 2K Plus and the $49.99 Mini Pan-Tilt 2K Plus, which are Blink’s first battery-powered spotlight and pan-tilt cameras, respectively. The Mini Pan-Tilt 2K Plus is the most budget-friendly option, offering 350 degrees of pan and 115 degrees of tilt, along with night vision, two-way audio, and motion detection for tracking activity.
Completing the collection is the $149.99 Blink Outdoor 2K XR Plus, capable of reaching up to 800 feet with some obstructions or up to 2,700 feet with a clear line of sight. Optional features like video descriptions, motion-activated notifications, and 60 days of cloud video storage are available through a subscription starting at $3.99 per month, or you can opt for local recording on a Blink Sync Module.
All five cameras are now available for preorder in the US, with varying availability in other regions depending on the model. Blink has yet to announce shipping dates, and we’re awaiting further details.
