Serato DJ is now available for iPhone users.
Serato DJ for iOS is making waves by bringing the company’s professional DJ suite to iPhone and iPad users. Previously, Serato only offered limited mobile options, like Pyro, which merely added autofades between songs in a playlist. Now, for the first time, a majority of the features from its flagship DJ app are accessible on mobile, while competitors like Rekordbox and Algoriddim have already established robust mobile DJ solutions.
For DJs accustomed to using Serato on a laptop, the transition to mobile will feel seamless. You can easily transfer your library from Serato DJ 5.0 on your laptop to your iOS device via USB-C or wirelessly. The mobile version includes stem separation and the complete range of effects, along with EQ tools, BPM matching, key sync, cue points, and recording capabilities, making it perfect for live performances and preserving those sets.
You can mix directly from your touchscreen in various layouts, but Serato DJ for iOS also supports over 120 hardware controllers. While some older controllers may require an adapter, compatibility with your DJ gear is generally not a concern. It even accommodates Digital Vinyl Systems (DVS) for those who enjoy the tactile experience of real vinyl.
Serato DJ for iOS is available as a feature-limited download from the App Store. You can purchase a license for $149 or opt for a subscription that bundles it with Serato DJ Pro, Serato Studio, and all expansions for $14.99 a month.
