Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2025 is turning out to be the biggest chapter yet in India’s esports journey. As the tournament enters its final stage, KRAFTON India has announced that the total prize pool has been bumped up from the previously declared ₹2 crore to a whopping ₹3.2 crore.
This impressive increase comes thanks to KRAFTON’s in-game community event, Crate to Cash, which launched earlier this year. Players across the country participated in the event, with a portion of the revenue from crate purchases directly contributing to the BGIS prize fund. It’s a smart, player-driven model that ties the community even deeper into the competitive ecosystem.
Top 16 Teams Head to Kolkata for Grand Finale
The excitement doesn’t stop at the prize pool. After weeks of intense qualifiers, the Top 16 teams have been finalized and are ready to face off at the BGIS 2025 Grand Finals, happening April 25–27 in Kolkata, at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan.
Here are the elite finalists who made it through one of the toughest competitive circuits in BGMI history:

Supporting More Than Just the Finalists
This year, KRAFTON has also ensured that the Top 32 teams will benefit from the expanded prize pool. By distributing rewards more broadly, the company is encouraging growth and sustainability within the Indian esports scene—especially for rising and mid-tier teams that often fly under the radar.
KRAFTON’s Vision for Esports in India
Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, emphasized the company’s long-term commitment, saying:
“BGIS 2025 isn’t just a tournament — it’s a celebration of how far Indian Esports has come. The increased prize pool, including ₹1.2 crore allocated to the Top 32 teams, is our way of giving back to the competitive community and encouraging more players to push their limits. From record-breaking participation to incredible viewership, it’s clear that India’s Esports landscape is thriving, and we’re excited to see the energy build as we head into the Grand Finals.”
