Grab the Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant at an Amazing Discount This Week!

Lego’s fantastic 540-piece Piranha Plant building set is currently available for just $36, down from its original price of $60. This 40% discount on the Lego Super Mario display model was expected to end on Monday, but it’s still up for grabs at more retailers than before. Best Buy featured the Piranha Plant in its weekend sale, prompting Amazon to match the price. While Best Buy has since reverted to the original price of $60, Amazon’s deal remains live, now joined by similar offers at Walmart and Target. The exact expiration of this discount is uncertain; Target lists December 10, but their end dates can be hit or miss. All three retailers offer free shipping, ensuring the Piranha Plant arrives well before Christmas. This set is one of eight Lego Nintendo models designed for adult fans. Additionally, there’s a deal on another model: Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi, a pixel art set inspired by the classic Super Nintendo game, is priced at $105 (down from $130) at Amazon and Target. Walmart had this set available too, but it’s currently sold out online.

The latest addition to the Lego Nintendo lineup is the 421-piece Lego Game Boy, a detailed replica of the original 1989 Game Boy DMG, retailing for $60. It includes two brick-built Game Paks—The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Super Mario Land—along with display stands for the handheld and one cartridge. While the Lego Game Boy hasn’t seen a discount yet, it’s poised to be a top gift this holiday season. If you’re keen on collecting the adult-oriented Nintendo display models, keep an eye out for restocks of The Mighty Bowser Lego set. This massive 2,807-piece set is retiring soon and is already sold out at most retailers. Amazon had it back in stock for its regular price of $270 during Cyber Week, but it’s sold out again as of December 10. Other large Lego Nintendo sets, like the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Mario 64 Question Block, have already been discontinued and often sell for much more than their original prices.
