Lenovo’s upcoming gaming laptop could feature a rollable ultrawide OLED display.

Lenovo has already shown its prowess in integrating rollable OLED technology into laptops, moving from concept models to the market with the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, a device you can actually purchase. This laptop features a mechanism that allows the screen to expand vertically, providing extra space for typing and scrolling. Now, the company is gearing up to unveil its first gaming laptop that utilizes a rollable OLED to transform its display into an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio, with edges that extend well beyond the bottom chassis.

The Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable is set to be the brand’s inaugural gaming laptop with a rollable horizontal screen, and it could make its debut at CES 2026 in just a few weeks. While details are sparse—such as display resolution, refresh rate, or specific components beyond an Intel Core Ultra processor—the anticipation is building. There’s no information yet on the display size in either its rolled or unrolled states, pricing, or exact release date. Although the lack of specifics might raise eyebrows, this seems like a prime candidate for a CES reveal.

I’m hopeful this becomes a reality because a horizontal rollable OLED could significantly reduce the need to connect your laptop to a larger monitor. If it offers at least 1440p resolution (or Lenovo’s enhanced 21:10 WQXGA version) and a decent refresh rate, it could be an exciting device for both travel and home use. However, it’s likely to carry a price tag that exceeds the $3,500 of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6.
