The Sopranos Complete Series Box Set Hits All-Time Low Price

The complete series of The Sopranos is currently available for just $49.49 at select retailers. This Blu-ray box set has been around since June 2020, and this marks the first time it has dropped below the $50 mark. If you’re considering it as a gift for a fan of the show, it’s a great time to make the purchase. However, keep in mind that new orders from one retailer may not arrive until after Christmas. The end date for this limited-time offer is uncertain, so it’s wise to act quickly. Interestingly, the DVD version is priced at five dollars more than the Blu-ray due to this promotion.

The Sopranos originally aired on HBO from 1999 to 2007, spanning six seasons. The series centers on mob boss Tony Soprano, portrayed by James Gandolfini, and his family dynamics. Tony is one of the most complex characters in television history, as the show explores his attempts to juggle the demands of his criminal empire with his responsibilities as a husband and father. This unique portrayal of a mob boss makes the narrative particularly engaging. The series has garnered 21 Emmy Awards and five Golden Globes, earning its place as one of the greatest TV shows ever made and a significant influence on modern television. It helped usher in a new era of high-quality programming and set the stage for other acclaimed series featuring flawed antiheroes.

Another notable series from HBO during this time is The Wire, which aired from 2002 to 2008. This critically acclaimed police drama is frequently cited as one of the best television series of all time. Coincidentally, The Wire: The Complete Series on Blu-ray is also on sale for about the same price at $50.49, while the DVD version is discounted to $35.41. Additionally, a prequel film titled The Many Saints of Newark was released in 2021, with the 4K Blu-ray edition priced at $22.49 (down from $28) and the standard 1080p Blu-ray available for just $9.
