Zombies Fans May Be Disappointed by CoD: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Update

A fresh update has rolled out for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone, bringing a host of bug fixes and enhancements across all game modes. However, Zombies players may find some of the changes disappointing. The patch addresses several issues on the new Astra Malorum Zombies map, including a fix for Oscar getting stuck in the starting area and adjustments to the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon, which had been misbehaving when used with certain GobbleGums and the Frenzied Fire augment. Unfortunately, this change impacts a strategy players had been using to boost the Wonder Weapon’s effectiveness during the challenging boss fight in Astra Malorum. Additionally, the update corrects a glitch that previously granted completion rewards for the Astra Malorum boss fight even if players failed the encounter.

In multiplayer, the update fixes spots on maps like Standoff, Fate, Scar, Paranoia, and Toshin where players could exit the intended play area. It also resolves an issue that prevented One in the Chamber from being selectable in private matches and addresses a bug that stopped loading-screen stats from appearing in the 20v20 Skirmish mode. The Endgame campaign mode in Black Ops 7 sees minor fixes as well, including a resolution for a bug that hindered exotic-rarity weapons from progressing toward their camo or base weapon levels, and another that affected the functionality of dedicated melee weapons with the Mega Punch exotic skill.

On the Warzone front, the Heartbeat Sensor has received a buff, increasing its detection range from 15 to 60 meters and enhancing the ping sweep for smoother, more reliable scans. The developers noted that this change aims to strengthen the sensor’s role as a vital intel-gathering tool, as its previous range was insufficient to effectively influence engagements. Bug fixes in Warzone include resolving issues with loading-screen stats visibility and problems with using permanent unlock tokens on perks in the loadout menu.

This update follows a significant strategic shift for the Call of Duty series and coincides with a free trial for Black Ops 7’s multiplayer and Zombies modes, alongside a Double XP weekend event.
