Early Access Launch Date and Times for Ashes of Creation

It’s been a while since the fantasy MMORPG Ashes of Creation broke through its Kickstarter goals back in 2017, but this classic-style game is gearing up to launch its player-driven civilization on Steam with an early access alpha build. And yes, the emphasis is on “early.”

Intrepid’s Steam description makes it clear that players will be diving into an unfinished version of the adventures in Verra. The early access label should clarify that the game is still in its second alpha phase, with two beta periods planned before the full 1.0 release—whenever that may be.

You’ve got less than 24 hours until Ashes of Creation opens its gates for early access. If you’re the type who enjoys the journey of an old-school PvX MMORPG, even with the possibility of progression wipes, this wait shouldn’t be too tough.

The early access launch is set for 10 am PST on Thursday, December 11. It’s a global release, so no staggered launches by timezone, but keep your expectations in check as you would for any early access MMORPG.

Here are the early access times for Ashes of Creation on Steam, organized by timezone:

If your timezone isn’t listed, you can use a premade calendar to easily find the launch time for your city—no need to do the math yourself.

For returning players, note that Steam will be the only platform for Ashes of Creation moving forward, as Intrepid is retiring its standalone launcher. It’s a good idea to delete those old files to free up some space.

As for the early access launch, there will be no preload available on Steam. You’ll need to download the game and register when the servers go live tomorrow.

Now’s also a good time to remind players with Kickstarter or alpha access to uninstall the Intrepid Launcher. You’ll need to link your Ashes of Creation account to Steam and start fresh when early access opens.

Veteran players should check Intrepid’s official site to link their accounts ahead of time. Newcomers, unfortunately, will have to wait for the Steam version to go live, as Ashes of Creation is no longer available for purchase through Intrepid’s store.
