PGL Unveils Singapore Major 2026
PGL has officially unveiled the PGL Singapore Major 2026, marking its second Counter-Strike 2 Major of the year. Scheduled from November 25 to December 13, 2026, this event will showcase 32 elite Counter-Strike 2 teams vying for a slice of a $1.25 million USD prize pool.
The tournament will unfold over three competitive stages, culminating in a live finale at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, which can accommodate between 12,000 and 15,000 fans, depending on its setup.
Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL, expressed excitement about hosting the first Counter-Strike Major in Singapore, stating, “This city has been home to some of our most memorable esports events, and we’ve always felt the energy and passion of the fans here. Returning now with a Counter-Strike Major feels like the natural next step. Our goal is to honor the legacy of Counter-Strike by delivering an event worthy of the community’s dedication and love for the game.”
The competition will see 32 teams from various regions compete for a chance to reach the best-of-5 grand final.
PGL highlighted that the Singapore Major 2026 is a significant milestone, being the first Counter-Strike 2 Major in Southeast Asia and a move towards broadening the competitive scene beyond its traditional European and North American bases.
This event also marks PGL’s fifth esports venture in Singapore, following previous tournaments like the FUT Champions Cup March Singapore, the Singapore DOTA 2 Invitational, the DOTA 2 Singapore Major, and The International 2022.
