Hogwarts Legacy Is Free to Claim on Epic Games Store — Here’s How to Get It
Epic Games has kicked off its annual holiday season with one of its biggest giveaways yet. While the store’s free games often spotlight indie titles, December is traditionally when Epic surprises players with major blockbusters — and this year, it’s offering Hogwarts Legacy at no cost.
To celebrate both The Game Awards season and the start of the Epic Games Holiday Sale, the hit open-world RPG set in the Wizarding World is now free to claim on PC. Once added to your library, it’s yours permanently.
How to Claim Hogwarts Legacy for Free
Grabbing your free copy is simple:
- Head to the Epic Games Store website or open the launcher.
- Log in or create a free Epic account.
- Search for Hogwarts Legacy on the store page.
- Click “GET” to add the game to your library.
After claiming it, you can download and play it anytime. Since this is the PC version, a mid-range gaming PC or supported handheld (like a ROG Ally or Steam Deck) is recommended for smooth performance.
Offer Duration (IST)
The giveaway is available until 9:30 PM IST on December 18. After the deadline, the title will be replaced with Epic’s next free mystery game — typically another high-value release during December’s festive lineup.
With Hogwarts Legacy still regularly selling at premium prices on most platforms, this is one of Epic’s biggest holiday deals to date. If you haven’t experienced the magical open-world adventure set in 1890s Hogwarts, now’s the perfect chance.
