Clair Obscur Celebrates Award Wins with Free DLC Featuring a New Photo Mode
Everyone was buzzing about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as a top contender for The Game Awards 2025, but few anticipated its stunning sweep, taking home nine awards and setting a new record (previously held by The Last Of Us 2 with seven in 2020). Instead of taking a victory lap, Sandfall Interactive seized the moment to surprise fans with a free mini-DLC for Clair Obscur, reigniting interest in the Belle Époque RPG.
This new content, hinted at earlier this year, introduces a fresh playable area called “Verso’s Drafts,” inspired by the protagonist’s childhood. Players can also look forward to new late-game boss battles, additional Luminas and Weapons, extra costumes, and a photo mode that lets them capture their stylish moments. Check out the trailer for a sneak peek at the new area.
The photo mode features a variety of filters, and the developers are eager to see how players will creatively document the game’s cinematic moments. For those who haven’t yet experienced Clair Obscur, it’s currently available for just $40, down from its usual $50 price tag, with a 20% discount on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox until December 16. It’s also still accessible via Game Pass.
