Paul Bettany hints at reprising his role as Vision in Avengers: Secret Wars following Vision Quest.

Paul Bettany is gearing up to reprise his role as the android Avenger, Vision, in the upcoming streaming series, Vision Quest, set to debut in 2026. The actor hinted that his journey in the MCU may extend beyond this series, potentially linking him to Avengers: Secret Wars.

“I think I’ve got some Avengers duties next year,” Bettany shared. Production for Secret Wars is expected to continue through 2026, aiming for a 2027 release as a sequel to next winter’s Avengers: Doomsday.

Bettany has brought Vision to life in several films and series, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and notably, WandaVision, where he was reimagined in a new, plain white body.

Vision Quest will pick up from WandaVision, exploring the consequences of Vision’s resurrection. The series will echo its predecessor’s approach by paying tribute to various films in each episode. WandaVision cleverly framed its episodes around different sitcom eras, while its follow-up, Agatha All Along, also embraced this theme with a series of magical adventures across different decades. Agatha All Along reintroduced Vision and Wanda Maximoff’s son, Billy/Wiccan, hinting at the return of his twin, Tommy.

Vision Quest draws inspiration from a comic storyline of the same name, which follows Vision as he is reborn in a colorless, emotionless state. The narrative centers on Vision’s quest to reclaim his humanity while grappling with his transformation.
