Devil May Cry Season 2 on Netflix Gets Official Release Date

The animated series based on the iconic Devil May Cry franchise is set to return for a highly anticipated season 2. Following the success of its debut in 2025, the show was renewed just a week after its initial release. Netflix has officially announced that season 2 will premiere on May 12, 2026.

This adaptation, crafted by Adi Shankar, known for his work on Castlevania, takes creative liberties with the lore and narrative of the original games. In the first season, we are introduced to Dante, a human-demon hybrid who operates as a mercenary and bounty hunter. He becomes embroiled in a global crisis when the demonic terrorist known as the White Rabbit steals Force Edge, the legendary sword of Sparda, Dante’s father, who played a crucial role in separating the human and demon realms.

The season finale revealed a shocking twist: Dante’s long-lost brother, Vergil, is alive and serving the malevolent ruler of the demon realm, Mundus. Season 2 promises an epic showdown between the two brothers amid a war between worlds. Johnny Yong Bosch will return as Dante, with Robbie Daymond voicing Vergil, and Scout Taylor-Compton reprising her role as Mary Ann Arkham, also known as “Lady.” Fans are also curious if the series will bring back its energetic opening theme.

With its signature blend of over-the-top action and witty one-liners, season 2 of Devil May Cry is sure to deliver the explosive entertainment that fans of the franchise crave when it drops on Netflix in May 2026.
