Get Up to 30% Off the Turok Trilogy Bundle for Switch and PS5!
A few years back, Nightdive Studios brought back the beloved Nintendo 64 FPS series, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, with revamped remasters for PC and consoles. Initially released as standalone digital titles between 2018 and 2023, all three games have now been bundled together in a physical collection called The Turok Trilogy Bundle, which hit shelves for PS5 and Nintendo Switch on October 31. Just weeks after its launch, the collection is seeing discounts of up to $30 at various online retailers. GameStop is currently offering the best price, with the PS5 and Switch versions available for just $28 (down from $40). Meanwhile, Amazon, Target, and Walmart are selling it for $30. However, stock is moving quickly—Walmart’s Switch version is already sold out, so act fast if you want to snag this deal. While Nightdive’s Turok Remaster trilogy is also available digitally, this discount does not apply to those versions.
The original Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, inspired by the Valiant Comics series, debuted in 1997 on the Nintendo 64 and Windows, quickly becoming a staple in the FPS genre. It was followed by two single-player sequels, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil and Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, both released on the Nintendo 64. The trilogy chronicles the adventures of various warriors who take on the Turok mantle, defending Earth and a parallel dimension known as the Lost Land from prehistoric beasts, advanced super soldiers, and inter-dimensional aliens. The series also includes the multiplayer deathmatch spin-off for N64, Turok: Rage Wars, and the prequel, Turok: Evolution, which launched on GameCube, PS2, Xbox, and PC in 2002. A reboot, simply titled Turok, was released in 2008 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, but it received mixed reviews and underwhelming sales. The franchise seemed to fade into obscurity until Nightdive’s remaster trilogy reignited interest, and now it’s set to make a comeback with Turok Origins, a new third-person shooter reboot in development by Saber Interactive.
