Flute Enthusiast Displays Impressive Collection from the Game Awards

Pedro “Flute Guy” Eustache has become a fan favorite at The Game Awards, captivating audiences with his vibrant performances on a unique array of flutes. Following another impressive showcase at The Game Awards 2025, Eustache took to social media to highlight the various instruments he played during this year’s event. His magnetic stage presence has endeared him to viewers, while his eclectic collection of flutes has sparked interest online throughout his time with The Game Awards Orchestra. This year, he shared details about the instruments featured in the iconic Game of the Year medley, which included several custom-made or modified pieces.

“Hi gamers of the world! THANKS FOR YOUR OVERWHELMING SUPPORT AFTER THE 2025 GAME AWARDS! MUCH LOVE! GOD BLESS YOU! As promised, here’s a short video showing the flutes I played in the GOTY medley by the amazing Lorne Balfe. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR COMMENTS! Enjoy!”

Eustache showcased the instruments in the order they were played, starting with two western concert flutes that had swapped headpieces—one inspired by a traditional Armenian shvi and the other featuring a 3D-printed head modeled after the Armenian blul. He also introduced a unique “PVC-based flute” used during the Clair Obscur segment, which was custom-built specifically for the awards. Following that, he played a traditional Chinese dizi, before concluding the medley with two western flutes: a bass flute and a massive contrabass flute—the latter being the instrument that first brought him viral fame during the 2022 Game of the Year medley.

“I’m thrilled you enjoyed our GOTY performance at the 2025 Game Awards! Yes, you guessed it: the Thumb-size Ocarina wasn’t in my last video! Thanks to Geoff Keighley, Lorne Balfe, and to God for His awesome grace! Stay tuned for more exciting projects coming soon! God bless you all!”

In a follow-up video, Eustache revealed he had left out one instrument from the 2025 ceremony—the thumb-sized ocarina featured in Donkey Kong Bananza. He expressed gratitude to “gamers of the world” for their support and confirmed he would return for The Game Awards 2026. This year’s awards were notably highlighted by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which achieved a record-breaking 13 nominations and nine wins, including Game of the Year, and was also named GameSpot’s Game of the Year for 2025.
