Black Desert is a vast MMO packed with diverse gameplay options. You can unwind with activities like farming, fishing, cooking, and horse training, or jump into the action with its hack-and-slash combat and large-scale siege PvP battles.

Originally launched in Korea in 2015 for Windows PC, Black Desert is now accessible worldwide on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. A significant update is set to arrive with the introduction of a new class, Seraph, on December 18. Developer Pearl Abyss describes the Seraph as wielding a massive greatsword and featuring both grab and guard abilities, with a combat style centered around light and shadow.

In addition to the new class, Black Desert will see a range of updates. Several Monster Zones will be revamped, transforming various regions into high-end farming areas. The PvP systems will also receive a complete overhaul, introducing new territories, rules, and rewards.

Players who pre-register for Crimson Desert will earn free cosmetic rewards in Black Desert. Originally conceived as a prequel to Black Desert, Crimson Desert has evolved into its own standalone IP and is set to launch on March 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
