Where Winds Meet Gains Momentum Among Players

Last month, Everstone Studio and NetEase Games launched the Wuxia action-adventure RPG Where Winds Meet on PC and PlayStation 5, quickly becoming a standout title on Steam. The development team has now announced that this open-world Wuxia experience has reached a remarkable player milestone in just one month. According to the official social media account for Where Winds Meet, the game attracted 15 million players in its first month. “You followed the winds, tested your blades, and proved that the best stories are the ones we tell together,” the statement from Everstone reads. “15 Million Wanderers have joined the Jianghu! Thank you for being here!”

While no details were provided about the average playtime or other specifics, it’s worth noting that the mobile version of Where Winds Meet launched towards the end of its first month. “We hoped it would find its audience, the players who would love the freedom and mystery we tried to create,” said lead producer Beralt Lyu in a recent interview. “The mood in the studio is hard to put into words. There’s definitely pride and excitement—seeing years of hard work resonate with so many people is a feeling like no other. But what really hits us, more than anything, is the sense of responsibility.”

Earlier this month, players discovered amusing ways to manipulate the AI-driven chatbox NPCs into providing loot and items without any effort, adding a humorous twist to the gameplay experience.
