Assassin’s Creed Series: Latest Casting Updates Revealed
Netflix and Ubisoft are teaming up to bring an Assassin’s Creed TV series to life, with production set to kick off in 2026. So far, three cast members have been confirmed, though their specific roles remain under wraps. The confirmed actors include Toby Wallace, known for his performances in The Bikeriders and Babyteeth; Zachary Hart, recognized for his role in the Apple TV series Slow Horses; and Lola Petticrew, who starred in Say Nothing.
Filming is slated to begin next year in Italy, which will also serve as one of the show’s settings. However, the exact time period the series will explore is still a mystery, as the games span various historical eras and the modern day. Showrunners for the project include Roberto Patino, known for Westworld, and David Wiener from Halo. This follows the departure of the previous showrunner, Jeb Stuart, who left due to creative differences.
In addition to the live-action series, Netflix is also working on an animated adaptation of Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft is simultaneously developing a new Assassin’s Creed game for Netflix Games. Another franchise from Ubisoft, Far Cry, is also making its way to the small screen with a series recently greenlit for Hulu.
As for the Assassin’s Creed game series, the latest installment, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, was released in March. Looking ahead, a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, reportedly titled Resynced, is rumored to be in the works. There are also several other new titles on the horizon, including the mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade, the 16th-century-set Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, and a multiplayer experience tentatively named Assassin’s Creed Invictus.
