Exciting New Marvel Games on the Horizon: Iron Man and Wolverine Among Them

There are two major Marvel games on the horizon for 2026, along with a host of others set to launch in the future. This means superhero gaming is thriving, bringing some serious excitement to the upcoming games lineup. With a mix of console exclusives and fresh action-adventures from renowned developers, Marvel fans are in for a treat.

2026 is shaping up to be a monumental year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring a new Avengers film and other entries in Marvel’s Phase 6. While the gaming scene may not be as packed as in previous years, we can look forward to a Black Panther and Captain America collaboration, as well as a highly anticipated Wolverine game. Additionally, an immersive Blade action title is in the works. There was also a second Black Panther game planned, but unfortunately, it was canceled following layoffs at Cliffhanger Games in May 2025.

Despite a leaner lineup and some setbacks, there’s still a lot to keep an eye on. Here’s a rundown of the confirmed Marvel games coming our way, organized by their expected release dates.

**Developer:** Insomniac Games
**Platform(s):** PS5
**Release Date:** Fall 2026

Marvel’s Wolverine is one of the standout PS5 exclusives arriving in 2026. It’s been over ten years since X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and fans have eagerly awaited Logan’s return to gaming.

We finally got a glimpse of Marvel’s Wolverine gameplay during the PlayStation State of Play in September 2025. Developed by the team behind Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Insomniac hinted at a “darker and more brutal” experience as players step into Logan’s shoes. This is definitely one superhero action game to keep on your radar.

**Developer:** Skydance Media
**Platform(s):** PC, PS5, Xbox Series X
**Release Date:** TBC 2026

Initially announced without a title in 2022, we now know that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is Skydance Media’s upcoming action game featuring Captain America teaming up with Black Panther.

The title was revealed in a story trailer during the March 2024 State of Unreal showcase, offering our first look at this WW2-era adventure set to launch in 2026. The cinematic trailer showcases a war-torn Paris, with Cap and T’Challa starting off in a rather hostile environment. With Amy Hennig from Uncharted at the helm, this promises to be a rich historical action experience featuring superheroes.

**Developer:** Motive Studio
**Platform(s):** TBC
**Release Date:** TBC

EA is teaming up with Marvel Games to develop an “all-new single-player, third-person, action-adventure Iron Man video game.” Motive Studio, known for Star Wars Squadron and the Dead Space Remake, is leading the project, with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy executive producer Olivier Proulx involved.

This new Iron Man game entered full production in February 2023, and Motive has promised an original narrative that delves into Iron Man’s rich history, capturing the complexity and charisma of Tony Stark, allowing players to truly experience what it’s like to be Iron Man.

**Developer:** Arkane Lyon
**Platform(s):** TBC
**Release Date:** TBC

Arkane Lyon, famous for Deathloop and Dishonored, is working on Marvel’s Blade. This title will be a “mature,” single-player, third-person adventure featuring an original story set in a quarantined area of Paris during a supernatural vampire crisis.

The team at Arkane sees this as a chance to push their game-making into a more modern direction. Given Arkane Lyon’s reputation for innovation, this project is sure to generate excitement. It may take some time before we hear more about it.
