Connect a compact wireless microphone to this 4K webcam.
Hollyland, known for its budget-friendly wireless microphones favored by content creators, has unveiled its first webcam, the compact 4K Lyra. While it may not boast advanced features like the tracking gimbal found in some competitors, it stands out as one of the few webcams designed to enhance audio quality by connecting directly to Hollyland’s wireless lav mics.
The Lyra comes equipped with a built-in receiver for the Lark A1 wireless microphone, which features AI-driven noise reduction. Although it’s slightly larger than the recently launched Lark M2S microphone, it offers a significant upgrade over standard laptop mics. The A1 is also budget-friendly, available on Amazon with a smartphone receiver for $29.90, or even cheaper when bundled with the new Lyra. The webcam itself is priced at $149 on Hollyland’s website, but for an additional $10, you can get a single Lark A1 mic included.
Inside the Lyra, there’s a 1/1.5-inch sensor paired with an f/1.8 lens, designed to deliver vibrant colors and impressive clarity, even in low-light settings. Video quality peaks at 4K/30fps, but you can ramp it up to 60fps by switching to 1080p.
A suite of AI features enhances image quality further, automatically adjusting brightness, contrast, and exposure based on your recording environment, along with a “beauty mode” to polish your appearance. The Lyra also includes a proprietary algorithm for green screen removal and replacement, eliminating the need for extra software. While the camera remains stationary on your screen via a magnetic clip-on mount, it can track subjects within the frame and adjust accordingly to keep them centered. For added privacy after a call or livestream, the Lyra features a physical rotating lens cover, allowing you to keep your notes for passwords safe.
