Marvel Phase 6 is charging ahead, promising to be the most monumental chapter in the MCU yet. With two new Avengers films, a Spider-Man flick, and a host of other exciting projects, fans are in for a thrilling ride through this new era of the Marvel universe.

Kicking off in 2025 with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, 2026 is shaping up to be a game-changer. We can expect Daredevil: Born Again season 2, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Avengers: Doomsday all within a few months, followed closely by Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. The future looks bright for our beloved characters.

Here’s everything you need to know about Marvel Phase 6, including release dates and confirmed projects, along with some potential upcoming films and series that may fall under this chapter of the MCU.

Kevin Feige teased a number of entries for Marvel Phase 6 back at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, although there have been some shifts in the schedule since then. Here are the confirmed release dates:

During Marvel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, it was announced that three additional films would join the already planned lineup. In October 2024, it was reported that another three movies were in development for 2028. However, some 2026 release dates remain unfilled, indicating that plans may have changed.

Below, we’ve detailed the upcoming films and series with confirmed release windows as we await more updates.

**Release date: January 27, 2026**

Kicking off 2026 is Wonder Man, an eight-part series that will tackle superhero fatigue head-on. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, a struggling actor vying for a role in a remake of the classic Wonder Man movie, with help from Trevor Slattery, known from Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

**Release date: March 4, 2026**

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is set to follow the explosive events of season 1. With Kingpin still looming large, Matt Murdock faces mounting challenges. A trailer leaked by Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter hints at a brief moment of domestic bliss for Matt and Karen before chaos ensues. Expect appearances from Jessica Jones, Kingpin, Bullseye, and Foggy.

**Release date: July 31, 2026**

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now set to release just before Avengers: Doomsday. Initially planned as a direct sequel, the plot details are now a mystery. However, Tom Holland will reprise his role as Spider-Man, joined by Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, and Michael Mando as Scorpion. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon return as MJ and Ned, while Sadie Sink has a secret role. A trailer leaked in December 2025 shows a lonely Spidey navigating New York City.

**Release date: TBA 2026**

Vision, a spin-off from WandaVision, is expected to debut on Disney+ in 2026. Showrunner Terry Matalas will guide the story of the all-white, rebuilt Vision as he seeks a new purpose after the events of WandaVision. Paul Bettany has teased exciting developments for the character, hinting at themes of intergenerational trauma and self-discovery.

**Release date: December 18, 2026**

Avengers: Doomsday, previously known as Avengers 5, is set to arrive with a star-studded cast, including Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, and even some familiar faces from the Fox X-Men universe. The Russo brothers are directing, and Robert Downey Jr. is set to portray Doctor Doom. Rumors suggest an Avengers vs. X-Men conflict may be on the horizon, with trailers expected to drop alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash.

**Release date: December 17, 2027**

Details on Avengers: Secret Wars remain scarce, but Mark Ruffalo has hinted at an explosive conclusion. The storyline, which pits Marvel’s mightiest heroes against formidable villains, promises high stakes. Doctor Doom will be the primary antagonist, with the Russo brothers also at the helm for this project.

Several other potential projects could also be part of Marvel Phase 6:

A sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is officially in the works, with Simu Liu and director Destin Daniel Cretton returning. However, it won’t be part of Phase 5, so fans may have to wait until Phase 6 for more updates.

Doctor Strange 3 hasn’t been confirmed yet, but given the multiverse connections from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seems likely that we’ll see more of him soon. Although Strange won’t appear in Doomsday, he may show up in Secret Wars.

Thor 5 hasn’t been officially announced, but Thor: Love and Thunder left the door open for further adventures. With Thor involved in Avengers: Doomsday, we should gain more clarity on his future after that film.

An X-Men movie is in development, directed by Thunderbolts’ Jake Schreier. While details are limited, many original X-Men characters will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, which may provide insight into what’s next.

Black Panther 3 is also in development, with Ryan Coogler writing a role for Denzel Washington. However, its release as part of Phase 6 seems uncertain given its early stage of development.

There are also potential projects like Moon Knight season 2 and Hawkeye season 2 that could emerge in Phase 6, but we’ll have to wait and see which of our hopes materialize.

The Blade movie, initially part of Phase 6, has been delayed indefinitely, but it hasn’t been scrapped entirely. There’s still hope for its eventual release.

As for the story so far, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family, who face off against Galactus while dealing with the looming threat of Doctor Doom in the post-credits scene. Eyes of Wakanda takes viewers through history as Wakandan agents track down Vibranium artifacts, introducing the original Iron Fist and providing context for Killmonger’s arrival in Black Panther.

Marvel Zombies follows, existing as a spin-off from a What If…? episode, where many beloved characters meet grim fates. Riri Williams attempts to rescue Kamala Khan from an illusion, potentially setting the stage for a second season.

Stay tuned for more updates as the MCU continues to expand and evolve!
