Hayden Christensen Eager to Star in a Darth Vader Series or Movie if Given the Opportunity
The Force is definitely strong with Hayden Christensen, who has expressed a keen interest in creating a series or film centered around Darth Vader.
“I would love to, yeah. So if the powers that be decide that that’s something they want to see, I’d be there in a heartbeat,” he shared during his appearance at Fan Expo Chicago.
After a 17-year break, Christensen returned to the Star Wars universe, taking on the roles of both Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker in the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries. He further embraced his character by appearing as Anakin in the World Between Worlds alongside Ahsoka Tano during the first season of Ahsoka.
Fans can look forward to seeing him again in Ahsoka season 2. At this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Japan, he hinted, “There’s not much that I can share, but Anakin will be back for season 2.”
If given the opportunity to portray Darth Vader once more, Christensen hopes to capture the menacing presence that the character had in Rogue One. “I loved how they portrayed Darth Vader in that film,” he remarked at Fan Expo Boston. “There are so many different people that have contributed to this character, and I’m just one of them. I loved what they did.”
In the Star Wars pipeline, fans can anticipate next May’s The Mandalorian and Grogu, where Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and the creature formerly known as Baby Yoda embark on another thrilling adventure in the galaxy.
