Arc Raiders Introduces Its Toughest Puzzle Yet, But the Reward Falls Short
Raiders, gather ’round! The solution to the Buried City music puzzle in Arc Raiders has been cracked, just a day after it was introduced in the Cold Snap update.
Many players are calling this the toughest puzzle in the game to date. If you’ve explored Buried City recently, you might have noticed part of the challenge. There are 15 buttons scattered across the map, each linked to a musical note. To unlock the door, you need to press these buttons in a specific sequence, which is hinted at by some musical note graffiti found in the same building as the door.
Here’s how to solve the Buried City music puzzle in Arc Raiders, along with a heads-up about the reward not being quite worth the effort.
Shoutout to the community on the Arc Raiders Puzzle Discord server for being the first to crack this and share the solution. As shown in the accompanying image, all 15 buttons are marked, with No. 15 located right in front of the door. Start at the button in Plaza Rosa and methodically hit each one in order to unlock the door and claim your prize.
However, there’s a catch: the button presses are server-side, not client-side. This means if anyone in your raid presses a button out of order, it resets your progress, forcing you to start over. Completing the entire sequence takes about 20 minutes, so you’ll definitely want a full squad to tackle this challenge.
So, what’s the reward for conquering the toughest puzzle Arc Raiders has thrown at us? Well, it’s some guitars. That’s right—up until now, the only instrument in the game was the recorder, but this puzzle adds acoustic guitars, which are classified as legendary items. With the recent addition of shakers, all we need is a drum set and a vocalist, and we could form a full band.
It’s a fun little Easter egg, but if you were expecting something truly impactful for battling Arc enemies or other players, you might be disappointed. However, completing “The Clean Dream” quest does yield some useful loot.
