Anticipated 2025 Game Appears Set for Switch 2 Release
It looks like we might be getting some exciting news about Dispatch making its way to the Switch and Switch 2. The Australian Nintendo eShop has listings for the episodic game, indicating a launch date of January 29 for both systems. While there hasn’t been an official word from AdHoc Studio regarding the ports, the presence of these listings suggests that it’s more a question of when rather than if Dispatch will hit the hybrid consoles. Currently, the game is only available on PC and PS5.
The Nintendo store mentions a free upgrade to the Switch 2 version of Dispatch, which will feature “enhanced resolution and improved frame rates,” requiring about 14.6GB of storage. The price is set at $43.95 AUD, which includes a launch discount, but keep in mind that prices in Australia tend to be higher than in the US. For context, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on Switch 2 is priced at $109.95 AUD, while Dispatch is available for $30 on Steam and PS5.
Dispatch has been recognized as one of the top 10 games for 2025, allowing players to step into the shoes of Robert Robertson’s Mecha Man, who must adapt to new challenges after his suit gets damaged, shifting from fieldwork to a dispatch center.
