Hori’s Gengar and Mimikyu Accessories for Switch 2 Have Me Hooked!

After decking out my gaming setup with the vibrant purple hues of the Gengar Edition accessories, I found myself reminiscing about my favorite ghostly Pokémon and what other cool gear he might be hiding. Luckily, Hori has rolled out a Gengar and Mimikyu accessory line for the Switch 2 in both the US and UK this October. While these adorable accessories debuted just in time for the spooky season, I believe ghost Pokémon have an aesthetic charm that lasts all year. The collection includes four items, each showcasing the delightful designs of Gengar and the whimsically cute Mimikyu, with their striking purple and yellow color schemes working perfectly together.

**Hori Gengar & Mimikyu Adventure Pack | $36.99**
This Adventure Pack is designed with practicality in mind, featuring an inner pocket for your handheld and an outer pocket for smaller items like charging cables or even your Pokémon TCG deck. The pack boasts a stunning purple and black design, adorned with images of the Pokémon across the front.

**Hori Gengar & Mimikyu Vault Case | $39.28**
The Vault Case resembles a traditional hard shell case for the Switch 2, showcasing a unique design with Mimikyu wrapping around the front. Inside, it offers space for your handheld, up to ten game cartridges, and a mesh pocket for additional accessories.

**Hori Gengar & Mimikyu HORIPAD Turbo Wired Controller | $44.99**
This wired controller features the same mappable back buttons and turbo functions as the standard version, but with a stylish Gengar and Mimikyu design. The translucent shell, complete with purple buttons and sticks that match Gengar, adds a fun touch. It also includes the new Switch 2 ‘c’ button for Game Chat.

**Hori Gengar & Mimikyu Game Card Case | Check stock**
This compact game case can hold up to 24 physical Switch and Switch 2 games, featuring a charming design of Mimikyu dancing above a grinning Gengar. While it’s currently sold out in the US, it remains available in the UK.

Despite the ghostly theme, this collection leans more towards cute than creepy. Hori has chosen a softer color palette for each item, giving them a delicate charm reminiscent of their previous Eevee Cottage Core products. The Adventure Pack stands out with its cross-body design, allowing it to be worn or carried like a handbag, complete with two pockets for your Switch 2 and accessories.

For those who prefer a more conventional case, the Gengar and Mimikyu Vault Case offers a white and purple exterior, with storage for up to ten physical games and a mesh pocket for smaller items like charging cables or spare Joy-Con straps. Its bright colors would fit perfectly in a cozy gaming room.

The wired Switch 2 controller features a translucent plastic shell that brings back memories of the classic Game Boy Color I used for the original Pokémon games. While it may not have all the features of the Switch 2 Pro controller, it does include remappable back buttons and turbo functionality, which is a nice bonus.

Lastly, the Game Card Case, which can hold up to 24 games, is designed to fit neatly into the Adventure Pack, making it a convenient addition. Although it’s currently sold out, I hope it will be restocked soon. I plan to review the entire collection in the near future, so if you’re interested in my thoughts before making a purchase, stay tuned.

If Pokémon isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other great accessories out there for the Switch 2, including microSD Express Cards, cameras, and headsets.
