Sonic Rumbles with Godzilla in Epic New Event

Sonic Rumble is about to take crossovers to a whole new level, as the legendary King of the Monsters, Godzilla, crashes into Sonic the Hedgehog’s latest mobile adventure. On December 22, players will see Toho’s iconic creature invade Dr. Eggman’s Toy World with a brand-new stage: Godzilla Survival. The mission is straightforward: survive a relentless Godzilla attack in the middle of the ocean while hopping from boat to boat. Trust us, you definitely don’t want to be caught when Godzilla unleashes his atomic breath. With only one respawn available, players need to run like their virtual lives depend on it—because they truly do.

Sonic Rumble’s free pass will grant access to Godzilla and his monstrous ally, Fire Rodan, at no cost. For those looking for more, the premium pass unlocks Mothra and King Ghidorah, along with giving Godzilla his nuclear pulse ability in addition to his heat ray. Players can also visit the RSR Shop to snag Mecha Godzilla and his Absolute Zero blast, as well as Destroyah with his Variable Slicer ability. Keep in mind, the Godzilla Survival stage will only be around for a month, so make sure to dive in while you can. Sonic Rumble is available on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam.

Earlier this year, Godzilla made waves in Fortnite, but he’s also set to star in his own console game, which is still in the early stages of development and likely years away. Meanwhile, Sonic fans can look forward to Sonic the Hedgehog 4 hitting theaters in March 2027, followed by a spin-off film on December 22, 2028. Plus, Ugly Sonic is making a comeback in a new fan edit of Sonic the Hedgehog.
