Unlock Epic and Legendary Loot in Borderlands 4 with These Shift Codes
December 19, 2025: We’ve refreshed the guide to include a new code for three Golden Keys you can snag.
Borderlands 4 Shift Codes grant you free Golden Keys when redeemed, which unlock Golden Chests in the game, showering you with loot and new skins for your Vault Hunters. While some of these 25-digit codes can linger for a bit, most are temporary and can expire within days or even hours! So, it’s wise to check back often and redeem them quickly to ensure you don’t miss out on any rewards.
Before you can redeem codes, you need to link a SHiFT account to your platform account for Borderlands 4. To help you score some Epic and Legendary weapons and gear, we’ve compiled a list of all the valid Borderlands 4 Shift Codes we know of, along with instructions on how to redeem them for those Golden Keys.
Above, you’ll find all the currently active Borderlands 4 Shift Codes and the rewards they offer. Golden Keys are the standard payout, which can help you snag powerful Epic or even Legendary-tier weapons when you use them to open a Golden Chest. Additionally, there are cosmetics for Borderlands 4 characters available through specific codes.
As noted, some of these Shift Codes are temporary, so we’ve included their expiry dates as well. If a code doesn’t have an expiry date, it’s safe to assume it’s permanent. Remember, these codes can only be redeemed once per Shift account, so once you’ve used a code, it’s done.
New Borderlands 4 Shift Codes can drop without warning, so we’ll do our best to keep this page updated with the latest codes. If you want to stay on top of Shift Code drops yourself, it’s a good idea to check out the developer’s social media pages, as codes have historically been announced there.
To claim any of the Borderlands 4 Shift codes listed above, ensure your SHiFT account is linked to the account you’re using to play the game (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, etc.).
You can find instructions on how to do this in Borderlands 4 by selecting the ‘SHiFT’ tab on the main or pause menu. The quick version is that you can create a SHiFT account by logging in with your platform account details, which will automatically link it to your chosen platform. Alternatively, you can create a SHiFT account and manually link it to your platform account.
After linking accounts, restart Borderlands 4, open the SHiFT tab on the main or pause menu again, navigate to the ‘Rewards’ tab (the gift box icon), and enter a valid 25-digit Shift Code into the text box. These boxes are not case-sensitive, and you don’t need to add hyphens, as the game will format it for you.
Once you’ve entered a code, hit ‘Redeem’. If you’ve entered an active code correctly, you can check the ‘Reward History’ tab to see exactly what you’ve unlocked. From there, jump into the game and head to any of the hub towns (The Launchpad, Carcadia, Belton’s Bore, or Upper Dominion) to find the Golden Chest. Insert a Golden Key, and it’ll dispense some high-rarity gear for you to use.
You can also redeem Borderlands 4 Shift codes through the official website, which is handy if you’re away from your console and need to redeem a promo before it expires, or if you prefer to copy and paste codes instead of typing them in manually. Just log in with your accounts on the site, then use the Code Redemption box at the top to claim your rewards.
As we move beyond the Borderlands 4 launch, more expired Shift Codes are accumulating, so make sure you don’t miss any of the active codes at the top of the article before they disappear into the depths!
