This Week’s Location of Maurice’s Black Market in Borderlands 4

Everyone’s favorite dinosaur (actually a Saurian) is back in Borderlands 4, running a shady vendor machine that offers legendary loot. While the mechanics have shifted a bit this time, you’ll still need to track down Maurice’s Black Market location each week.

If you’re familiar with Destiny 2, think of Maurice’s vending machine as your weekly Xur. Each week, the Black Market machine will pop up in a new spot on Kairos, giving you access to high-tier gear in exchange for cash. With Borderlands 4 embracing a full open-world format, you’ll have even more territory to cover to locate his machine.

For the week of December 18 to December 25, Maurice’s Black Market vending machine can be found at Sandytoes Villa on the western shore of Coastal Bonescape, situated in the southwestern part of the map. The Black Market machine resets every Thursday at 9 am PT.

Finding the vending machine this week is a breeze. Simply fast travel to the Abandoned Post safehouse, then either walk or drive to Sandytoes Villa on the western edge of Coastal Bonescape. You’ll spot Maurice’s Black Market vending machine by the pier beneath the house.

A significant change to the weekly Black Market in Borderlands 4 is that the inventory is now unique to each player—no more fixed stock for everyone. This adds an extra layer of excitement as you hunt him down to see if you have any god rolls, even if it lacks the thrill of everyone rushing to his machine when the stock is revealed.

You can refresh the items in your vending machine by backing out of the store, but be aware that it will trigger a 30-minute cooldown, which you can monitor via the weekly activity icon on the map. This is crucial if you’re racing against the clock for the weekly reset.

Since each player has a different selection, it’s a good idea to check with your friends about what their version of Maurice’s Black Market machine is offering—it might just have the perfect item for you.

To start snagging legendary gear from Maurice’s Black Market machine, you first need to complete the main campaign and the introductory Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode quest, Maurice’s Bounty.

Once you’ve finished that quest, the Black Market vending machine becomes a weekly event throughout the open world. The machine will be nearly invisible until you get close, but it will also be marked on your map once you’re near enough.
