Last chance to snag the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle—here’s where to find it!

Nintendo has officially stopped production of the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, which includes the new handheld console and a digital copy of the game at a $29.99 discount compared to buying them separately. This information surfaced from a leaked internal memo, later confirmed by a US retailer on social media, stating that no more units would be produced.

While this isn’t entirely unexpected—Nintendo had previously indicated that the Switch 2 bundle would be available for a “limited time through Fall 2025″—it’s still disappointing news, especially with limited alternatives available. Currently, the bundle is still up for grabs at Best Buy for $449.99, and it even comes with a $50 discount. Although it’s too late to secure one in time for Christmas, it’s wise to consider picking up the bundle before it disappears for good.

The Mario Kart World bundle launched at $499.99, making it a solid deal for anyone looking to snag the console along with a digital copy of the game, which would normally cost $79.99. With Best Buy now offering a $50 discount, you can save even more while supplies last.

For those in the UK, the bundle is priced at £409 on Amazon.

If you’ve been contemplating the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, now is the moment to act. While there’s still stock available at US retailers like Best Buy and Amazon, the news of halted production means these are the last units. There’s a slight chance that this announcement could lead to a rush on remaining bundles, so availability may dwindle in the coming days and weeks. I believe it will take some time before retailers run out, and I don’t want to add any unnecessary pressure, especially with the ongoing cost of living challenges. However, if you want to ensure you don’t miss out, now is a great time to grab one—especially since Best Buy has the bundle priced the same as the standalone version. What was once a $29.99 savings on Mario Kart World now feels like you’re getting the game for free.

Keep in mind, this bundle includes a digital copy of Mario Kart World, so there’s no physical game box. While I usually prefer physical copies, I appreciate having the digital version because it’s always ready to play when my family wants to jump in—no need to dig around for a game cartridge. The game is just under 24GB, so it won’t take up too much of the 256GB storage on the new device. If that sounds appealing, I suggest you grab the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle while you still can. It may not arrive before Christmas, but it will give you something to look forward to once the holiday rush settles down.
