A 2026 box-office flop turns out to be surprisingly enjoyable, available for streaming in just two days.

Masters of the Universe, the latest cinematic venture to bring He-Man back to life, struggled at the box office, raking in just over $113 million against a hefty budget of nearly $200 million. Despite receiving decent reviews, with a 67% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 86% audience score, it didn’t resonate with audiences as hoped.

If you missed the chance to catch Masters of the Universe in theaters — and judging by the numbers, many did — you’ll soon have the opportunity to stream it from the comfort of your home. It has been announced that director Travis Knight’s sci-fi film will be available on Prime Video starting Wednesday, July 22.

The story follows Prince Adam of Eternia (played by Nicholas Galitzine), who finds himself in… Oklahoma after his family is attacked by Skeletor (Jared Leto, who, unfortunately, steals the show). Adam’s quest for the Sword of Power leads him on an epic adventure back to Eternia, where he fights for its freedom.

We found it to be quite enjoyable, describing Masters of the Universe as a “nearly perfect sci-fi fantasy epic.” One reviewer noted that it captures the essence of classic action-adventure films, delivering a visually appealing experience that doesn’t shy away from its own absurdity.

Soon, you can dive into this entertaining spectacle from your living room. The film’s soundtrack, featuring contributions from Queen guitarist Brian May, is also a highlight worth experiencing.

But seriously, where’s Jared Leto’s Skeletor?!
