A cast member from Daredevil: Born Again hints at the comeback of an MCU hero.

However, a recent Instagram post from Royce Johnson, who plays Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney, suggests that Frank might actually make a return.

Fans of the original Netflix series will remember Johnson as the cop who often found himself caught up in Matt Murdock’s world. In his Instagram post, Johnson shared some behind-the-scenes photos featuring himself, Cox, and other cast members. One particular image caught attention, showing Johnson alongside Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Karen, and Jon Bernthal in full Punisher mode, complete with a beard.

Considering Bernthal’s look in the photo, it seems likely that these shots were taken while he was filming his highly anticipated special presentation. However, it’s also possible that this image was captured during the production of Daredevil: Born Again’s second season, hinting at a potential crossover with Frank’s standalone story. Imagine if both Karen and Mahoney show up amidst the chaos that Frank is bound to create in his upcoming Disney+ special. Regardless, this development strengthens the ties between the street-level heroes we love, especially as the rest of the MCU gears up to face Doctor Doom later this year in Avengers: Doomsday.
