A New Assassin’s Creed Spinoff is Set to Launch in 2026
Ubisoft has unveiled an exciting new addition to the Assassin’s Creed universe, but this time, it’s taking center stage rather than the gaming console. Following the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in July, the next venture is a live theatrical production titled Heredis.
Heredis is described as an “original live show” that fuses acrobatics, parkour, theater, and history into a captivating experience. The story follows Naël on his quest to find his missing father, facing various challenges across different historical periods along the way.
Interestingly, there’s no indication of Assassins or Templars being involved, and both the social media announcement and Heredis’ website assure potential viewers that prior knowledge of the games or the franchise isn’t necessary to enjoy the performance. So, no need to brush up on Isu lore beforehand.
Created by The 7 Fingers, a Canadian theater company, Heredis will feature performers who blend acrobatics, urban parkour, choreographed combat, and impressive physical feats.
The show is set to debut in Montreal this December, running for a couple of weeks before moving to Paris in January 2027, where it will continue until at least the first week of February. Tickets are already available for those eager to catch a performance.
This isn’t the first time Assassin’s Creed has ventured into live-action, and it certainly won’t be the last. A decade ago, Michael Fassbender starred in an Assassin’s Creed film, and a TV series is currently in the works for Netflix. As for the gaming side, Ubisoft has multiple titles in development, though only Black Flag Resynced has a confirmed release date at this time.
