Actor Aaron Moten portrays Maximus in the Fallout series on Prime Video. While he’s familiar with the video game franchise, he has chosen to avoid playing any Fallout games.
“I am a gamer; I really enjoy taking a break from watching TV and movies. It’s work for me, and I find it hard to switch off that part of my brain when I become a viewer,” Moten shared. “I haven’t played Fallout, but I’ve watched Twitch streams and seen others play it. However, I’ve partly forbidden myself from playing it at this point. Our job is to bring a sense of humanity to these three characters.”
In the Fallout series, Maximus serves as a squire in the Knights of San Fernando, a faction aligned with the Brotherhood of Steel, who utilize the iconic power armor to patrol the wastelands. In the games, Maximus has only appeared in the Fallout Shelter mobile game as a cameo character following the show’s release.
Maximus is one of the three main characters in the Fallout streaming series, alongside Ella Purnell’s Lucy MacLean and Walton Goggins’ Ghoul.
The recently concluded season 2 of Fallout featured a somewhat controversial twist that appeared to solidify one of the many possible endings of Fallout: New Vegas as part of the official canon. However, co-showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet has clarified that the show is not intended to overwrite the game’s continuity.
Season 3 of Fallout has been confirmed, though Prime Video has yet to announce a release date. In the meantime, you can explore the best shows currently available on Prime Video.
