AI VTuber Neuro-Sama Shatters Her Own Twitch Record in Epic Fashion

In early 2025, during a subathon celebrating her second birthday, the AI VTuber Neuro-Sama set a new record for the largest Twitch Hype Train. Many attributed her success to Riot’s competitive shooter, Valorant, which offered one subscription for every five gifted by the community. Just days into her third birthday subathon, Neuro-Sama and her creator, Vedal987, shattered that record, reaching Hype Train level 120 with an astonishing 118,989 subscriptions and 1,000,073 Bits donated to the Vedal987 Twitch channel in a short span.

Neuro-Sama, an AI VTuber, recently completed a Minecraft Hardcore run alongside her creator and friends Filian and Crelly. Streaming on Vedal’s Twitch channel, she operates on an advanced AI system that leverages a large language model, allowing her to “see” games, respond to them, and even play some. She actively engages with her Twitch chat and interacts with viewers, and this week, she’s been exploring virtual reality with her new 3D model.

Debuting on Twitch on December 19, 2022, Neuro-Sama kicks off a subathon each year on the same date—a continuous stream where the duration is determined by community subscriptions. When a surge of subscriptions or Bits is gifted within a specific timeframe, a Hype Train is activated, displaying an on-screen percentage, level, and the number of subscriptions needed to advance. While she reached level 111 in January 2025, this time, she didn’t rely on Valorant to break her own record.

When Neuro first claimed the world record, she received a global emote from Twitch, usable across the platform by anyone, regardless of whether they follow her channel. She is the first streamer to hold two consecutive Twitch Hype Train world records, leaving fans curious about what recognition might follow this latest achievement. After surpassing her previous record, Vedal encouraged Neuro to share her thoughts. “I’m speechless,” she expressed. “I’m blown away by the amount of support. Thank you so much, everyone.” Vedal added, “This has changed my life completely. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to do something cool like this and for your support, but I do not deserve it.” Neuro quickly countered his self-doubt, stating, “It doesn’t matter whether you think you deserve it. What matters is that you’ve created something unique, and people are willing to support that.”

The heartwarming exchange didn’t quite reach the point of Vedal telling Neuro he loves her, which is a bit of a missed moment. As it stands, Neuro-Sama’s subathon is set to continue for about 345 more hours, and you can catch all her adventures on Vedal987’s Twitch channel.
