All James Bond films to stream on Netflix starting January 15, even with Amazon ownership.

Amazon MGM Studios has taken the reins of the James Bond franchise, and in a surprising twist, 007 will be making his way to Netflix in 2026 instead of Amazon’s Prime Video. Starting January 15, all 26 Bond films will be available for streaming on Netflix.

Chris Ottinger, head of worldwide distribution at Amazon MGM Studios, explained that the acquisition of MGM was part of a broader strategy to license its iconic library to various streaming and television partners globally. “Bringing these iconic films and shows to Netflix is part of that continued strategy,” he noted.

This isn’t the first time Bond films have appeared on different streaming platforms. Last year, it was reported that the franchise was accessible on the free service, Pluto.

The Netflix deal takes things a step further by including 1983’s Never Say Never Again, which features Sean Connery in his final portrayal of Bond. This film is often overlooked in the official canon since it wasn’t produced by Eon Productions.

As for the next Bond film, directed by Denis Villeneuve of Dune fame, details remain scarce, and it’s still a ways off. Making all the Bond movies available on one of the most popular streaming services is a smart move to maintain excitement for the iconic spy until more information about his next adventure is revealed.
