Amazon Integrates Luna Cloud Gaming Titles, Including Fallout 4, into Prime Video

Amazon’s gaming strategy, as discussed by exec Jeff Gattis, is becoming more defined with the introduction of a new Games tab on Fire TV devices. By merging Prime Gaming, Amazon Game Studios, and Luna into a single entity, the focus is shifting towards a more casual audience—those who already enjoy streaming movies, TV shows, and sports on Prime Video—rather than competing head-to-head with dedicated gamers immersed in MMOs and shooters.

While Luna was previously part of Prime, users in the US and UK can now access it directly through Prime Video, allowing them to dive into games like Dispatch, Fallout 4, Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 26, and Clue. Amazon has indicated that more information regarding additional devices, countries, and games will be shared in the future.

This move mirrors Netflix’s recent foray into streaming games for TV, and Gattis acknowledged in an interview that Amazon has yet to solidify its presence as a gaming platform. He highlighted the importance of leveraging Amazon’s intellectual properties, such as Tomb Raider and James Bond, in this endeavor.

The Games tab also serves as a promotional space for games linked to content available on Prime Video. For instance, it features titles like the co-op card battler Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite and the “AI-powered party game” Courtroom Chaos: Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, which ties into his upcoming holiday movie for Amazon later this year.
