Amazon Launches Ember Artline TV, Expanding the Art TV Market
Joining the ranks of Samsung’s The Frame, Hisense CanvasTV, TCL Nxtvision, and the newly unveiled LG Gallery TV, Amazon is stepping into the art TV arena with its first offering: the Amazon Ember Artline. This 4K edge-lit LED TV features a matte screen designed to minimize glare from ambient light and boasts a sleek profile at just 1.5 inches thick. Buyers can choose from a selection of 10 frame colors, including walnut, ash, teak, black oak, matte white, midnight blue, fig, pale gold, graphite, and silver.
The Artline is equipped to handle Dolby Vision and HDR10+ formats, along with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. It features far-field microphones for seamless interaction with Alexa+ from anywhere in the room and incorporates motion sensors—dubbed Omnisense technology—to automatically switch to ambient art mode when someone enters or exits the space. Users can showcase their personal photos through integration with Amazon Photos, creating custom slideshows, or they can choose from over 2,000 pieces of art available for free.
A standout feature allows for enhanced customization of displayed art. By capturing up to four photos of the room where the Ember Artline is set up, users can receive tailored recommendations that complement their decor.
The Amazon Ember Artline TV will be available in sizes ranging from 55 to 65 inches, starting at $899, and will launch with the new Fire TV OS redesign this spring.
